| Description | My name is Andy Allan and I run the tileservers at thunderforest.com and opencyclemap.org Your application SASPlanet has become very popular, and it is downloading too many tiles each day for me to support for free. I realize that this application is open-source, so instead of asking for payments I ask you to please remove all of my tileservers from your configuration. Предупреждение - автоматический перевод! Кстати, а где в наших картах есть thunderforest.com ? А то я не нашел. opencyclemap.org есть, а вот thunderforest.com не видно. |

thunderforest.com and opencyclemap.org are the same servers - I just mention them both to save any confusion. If you can remove opencyclemap.org from your application that would be appreciated. |

Hola Alan, at your website you posted, quote: "Using our world-class map styles on your own websites and in your apps". And then "Hobby Project: Free!", following by "Tiles per month - 150,000" http://thunderforest.com/pricing/ The first thing is that your server basically is not free, as far as you show the prices to the public. It is only has the limited and restricted free access to the [basically] payable content. The second thing is that our app is a "Hobby"-level non-profitable project, thus our app entitles for a "Free!" use of your website based on your own frames. The amount of tiles being downloaded is up to the each user, but not the application itself. It is not a user's nor the browser's obligation to sum and count the total amount of tiles - but yours as the content provider, as far as you mentioned that amount at your side (see how Google does the same thing, for example - and they not even show such boundaries anywhere and not even boring the end-users with that, but quietly limiting the download process itself). In other words - so far I hardly see any juristical issue here, and the decision of your servers removal is fully on our good will. And we will discuss the issue among the colleagues ASAP - just to support your good work and your great project, you know. :) |
